The Great Bridport Grow Off 2025!

We’re excited to announce the Great Bridport Grow Off 2025 — a fun, community-driven sunflower growing competition! Whether you're a seasoned gardener or just starting out, this is your chance to get involved, show off your green fingers, and make a difference to our preschool.

All proceeds from the event will go toward supporting St Catherine’s Preschool, helping us to purchase new resources and equipment to support the development of our children!

How can you help?

1. Sign up to participate in the sunflower growing competition. Click the link below or scan the QR code.

2. Buy one (or more!) of the sunflower growing kits to support our cause and spread the word to friends and family – the more the merrier!

3. Grow the tallest or biggest sunflower with a chance to win exciting prizes within 3 age categories! (Preschool, School age and Adults)

It’s more than just a competition — it’s about coming together as a community, supporting great causes, and having fun while we grow!

Easter Bunny Bounce

Join us for our annual Easter Bunny Bounce on Good Friday! For children aged 0-7. Enjoy all gym equipment, bouncy castle, soft play and didicars at Bridport Leisure Centre.

Free squash, snacks for sale (or you’re welcome to bring your own), Easter egg tombola and a special appearance from the Easter Bunny.

Only £5 per session per child and all profits go to St Catherine’s Pre-school. Adults are FREE.

Lottery!

Join our lottery and you could win cash prizes - simply pick your lucky number and pay £15 per number.

The club runs for 10 months and you'll be entered in to our monthly draw to win £25 and a bumper prize of £50 at Christmas and July!

What a night! Thank you to everyone that came to our 'I Feel Love' Disco. We raised £800 for the pre-school. We are very grateful for your support.

Pre-Loved Clothing Sale

Wow! We have been inundated with generous donations for our preloved childrens clothing sale. Thank you to everyone for your support on this, the sale was a huge success.

Symondsbury Christmas Market

What a busy few days at Symondsbury annual Christmas Market. Our festive games for all the family and wonderful stocking filler ideas went down a storm and we were able to raise more funds for pre-school. Huge thanks to Louise Grier for organising and manning the stall.

Looking forward to next year already!

Congratualtions to the all the winners of our fab-yule-ous Christmas Raffle and a huge thanks to all of the businesses that supported the event - we couldn't do it without you!

Plant Sale

Our first plant stall at pre-school was great and so nice to see so many gardening enthusiasts lining up to buy their plants. Thanks to everyone who donated plants

Arthurs Big Bounce

Congratulations to one of our pre-schools for hopping all the way from Bridport to West Bay on his super Space Hopper! What an acheivement and if that wasnt enough he raised £1k for pre-school for his efforts!

5th Dec - Christmas Market

Such a lovely Christmas market at Symondsbury! We had a great day and raised lots of money for pre-school selling homemade crafts, Christmas jumpers, sweets and much more

It's Good to Grow

Thank you to everyone who donated their Morrisons Grow Tokens - we had over 2000 in the end! Your support will allow us to exchange the Grow Tokens for FREE gardening equipment for the pre school.

Lolly sale

We made the most of the last of the good weather before Autumn officially kicks in by selling ice lollies and delicious tubs of Baboo's super scrummy handmade gelato - all kindly donated by parents and local businesses. We raised a whopping £188, so thank you to everyone that has supported us so far.

PLANT SOME SUN FOR 21

Many thanks to everyone that purchased a sunflower kit! We would like to express a HUGE thank you to Groves Nursery for their kind donation. The fundraiser was a great success and everyone's beautiful sunflowers definitely helped spread some sun for 21!

GIG NIGHT

Many many thanks to everyone who helped and attended this amazing night!! We raised a whopping £1480!

A huge thank you to everyone who helped by providing raffle prizes, selling raffle tickets and helping to advertise the gig and of course buying gig and raffle tickets.

Donations by Local Businesses

Co op kindly donated lots of delicious iced lollies for our lolly sale - this has helped us raise over £100 for the pre school!

Baboo Gelato have donated pots of their scrummy handmade gelato for our recent lolly sale - needless they say they didnt last long!

A big thank you to Creeds Design & Print who kindly donated lots of paper free of charge, for the children to enjoy.

J.C.Phillips & Son Builders Merchants have kindly filled our large outdoor sandpit free of charge. A huge thank you to the team who are all so helpful whenever they visit.

In return, we always publicly thank businesses and organisations by including a mention in our newsletter, on our website and Facebook page and, if requested, a photo in the Bridport News.
